The browsers-internal images are not being build dual-architecture, and therefore the linux-amd64 of cypress cannot be built with the exact same steps as the x64 build.

This is preventing backwards compatibility with older operating systems, due to CentOs7 build requiring docker build, rather than machine build in CircleCI.

Can you clarify the background for this older issue please? browsers-internal images are intended for use only internally by the Cypress.io organization. Do you belong in this category?

The official images cypress/browsers are available dual-architecture: linux/amd64 and linux/arm64.

CentOS 7 end-of-life is coming up soon on June 30, 2024.

Closing, as there was no response, and internal images are for internal use only.
