Futuring discussion - Footlight CMS : Offering a standalone solution to the sector

Some questions that arose from a conversation btwn @tammy-culture and @troughc

What is our short-term / mid-term vision / long-term strategy for the CMS with Display?
Caveat: would also like to discuss / brainstorm with NAC as we move forward in that relationship / MOU.

What does the sector want / need in terms of their web presence?

What is a "good enough" set of features for version 1 of a stanadalone solution of the CMS (that includes a public display) ?

  • is it enough to launch a listing site ( with a listing and event details pages only?
  • Does it need to be a complete website (with About section, Contact page, etc)?
  • Do we need to have different types of directories available (events listing, artist directory, single artist website with an About me; my way of working; my works; my events? For reference see the site of Audrey Gaussiran

What is a reasonable roadmap? How do we see rolling out the different options to the sector?

How do we validate our strategy?

How do we communicate strategy amongst ourselves? What are best practices to draft, rework and refine the strategy?

  • for example, creating drafts to advance vision...
