A forum should not be shown in the dashboard, but in a knowledge unit in a learning unit. When creating a knowledge unit, there is a button "Add Text" after the metadata are entered. Next to this button a button "Add Forum" should be shown. This Button should add a Forum to the knowledge unit that is shown if the knowledge unit is called.

Here:

Next to "Add Text" a "Add Forum" - Button should appear.

After adding a forum, the forum is called by (1) choosing the respective learning unit in the left menu, (2) opening the list of knowledge units (which might show "discussion" for example") and click on it. In step (2) it might be the case that there is more than one media type attached to the knowledge type ("forum" and "text" for example). In that case, both should be shown and the forum is shown after "forum" is clicked. In other terms: An entry "Forum" in the dashboard menu is not needed.

Should it also automaticly create a thread? or should the forum only be displayed?
