Slowdown in "system" instead of in our code?

The FPS should be around 210-220 for these update and draw times.

Firefox has a similar issue. In this case the performance drop seems to scale with the line width, although I've seen it have a sharp drop at a given line width number in some cases.

For Firefox, the issue is captured under "DOM" event:
