Left side bar chevron click in sphinx 7.4.7

Unexpected behavior: When you click on the chevron it not only expands the section in the side bar, but it also navigates to that page. This is with sphinx 7.4.7
With sphinx 5.0.0 however it works as expected and only expands the section when you click on the chevron without navigating to that page.
