I would like to know. When in OpenCode Sysiphus, if I select a different model (Kimi 2.5), for example, and throw a large task and it spawns subagents, how do I know which models those subagents are using if, for example, I don't have a subscription with the default models OMO is configured to use?

When you select Kimi 2.5 as your main model in OpenCode, here's how subagents (spawned by delegate-task or the orchestrator) determine their models:

Model Resolution Hierarchy

Subagents don't automatically inherit your selected model. They follow this priority order:

1. Agent-specific model (from oh-my-opencode.json)
2. Category default model (if category is configured)
3. System default model (from opencode.json)

Default Category Models

Each task category has a built-in default optimized for that task type:

Important Caveat

Category defaults only apply if you configure them. If you haven't set up oh-my-opencode.json with category overrides, subagents fall back to your system default (the model you selected in OpenCode, e.g., Kimi 2.5).

Run opencode models to see available models in your environment.

To ensure subagents use specific models, configure them explicitly:
