The gpt-xx API itself does not support sending files

Am I missing something or all gpt models won't accept any file while I can use them with other gpt platforms. I get this error:

The gpt-4o API itself does not support sending files. Due to the complexity of file parsing locally, Chatbox only processes text-based files (including code). For additional file formats and enhanced document understanding capabilities, Chatbox AI Service is recommended.

That's weird, I have been sending files for weeks. Just drag & drop files into the chatbox window (using the MacOS app in my case). That works perfectly well for all the GPT versions
