Unresponsive UI on First Screen

Issue: The UI is almost completely unresponsive when he initially loads the extension but regains full functionality on the subsequent screens.

I was unable to repro and have not heard reports of it from any other users.

I'm having this exact problem.

I did some investigating and here are some of the things I found that might be relevant.

The background.js file takes atleast 10 seconds to load.

This js-file contains alot of comments and it is unminified:

The console is pouring out debugging messages.

I really hope this helps.

I'm on MacOs 11.6.1 getting the same behaviour in Brave as in Chrome
