Questions to cap-js/sdm plugin #118

Hi Team,

we currently use the 'SAP Document Management Service Integration Option' with its built-in REUSE-UI for the management of attachment within our application. We now analyzed the SAP Document Management Service Plugin because it now supports multitenancy and we would prefer it to use it instead of the Reuse UI of the SAP Document Management Service Integration Option.

Quickly simplified our use-case related to attachments is, that a user can manage attachments within one of our CAP FE applications and they do get saved in a repository. Aside from that we also create files within this repository via automatic processing and send them as email.

However after a test-implemention of this plugin which should replace our 'SAP Document Management Service Integration Option - Reuse UI' we do have some questions and uncertainties and would like to adress them respectively ask if these things are maybe planned in future versions.

Is it possible:

  1. to create folders via the UI or API for the purpose of structuring the data?
  2. to create an attachment as link to an existing file within a repository? A user maybe already has this piece of data stored and just wants to reference it instead of uploading it again
  3. to have permission controls on uploaded files? (We saw that this point was mentioned in the 'Outlook'). We send PDFs as email and they shouldn't be editable/deleteable when they were finally transferred.
  4. to create attachments on entities which are not annotated as draft-entities? The entity on which we have attachments doesn't necessarily need to be draftable. However we have to make it draftable to use the functionality.
  5. to set a fixed or even dynamic folder within my repository as entry folder for the saved attachments? As we anaylzed all the attachments are saved within a folder which has the key of the entity as name. This folder is generated on root. For structuring purposes it would be great if we could decide in which folder these attachments are saved.

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Andreas
