This would be really helpful when mapping housenumbers around here (in Italy housenumbers are assigned to entrances and gates, also happens in other places). The paint style could show the numbers right to the symbol, if there are any (maybe ref could also be interesting in other cases).

I can be useful in different ways, one is to make clear there is a housenumber mapped, so you don’t have to check the tags page for every gate, another one is easier recognition of errors and numbering systematics in the area.
