Are there plans to support Swift concurrency? At the very least, it could be nice to have async await wrappers around the API.

Yes, a lot of the library can be rewritten to use the new async features in AsyncHTTPClient. It's on the roadmap, just requires some time!
For now you can use .get() to turn futures into an async API or a PR would be happily accepted!
