Hey @kellyclowers ! Regarding the percentage: This is a bit tricky, I've been playing around with this some time ago as a similar request came earlier. The problem is, that servers (e.g. Nextcloud) might still allow 1 % increments. So the question is what would happen with that information in jtx Board if there were 5 % increments. If a number like 13 % would come from the server, what would you show? 13, 10 or 15? If 13, would the slider then jump to 15 or then and continue with 5 increments? The option to show the original number that is not possible with an increment is also not supported by the Android Slider... So the rounding options would be possible, but only at a cost of loss of information... You see, those were the thoughts why I'd rather keep it as it is... Regarding the contact and attendee field: Basically both fields already have an auto-suggest functionality and would suggest contacts (based on the email-address) from your native mobile address book. Is this not working for you? Could you double-check if maybe you haven't granted the permission the first time you used it (or if it got somehow lost)? The read contacts permission should be visible in the permissions manager of Android for jtx Board. |

Ah, yeah that makes sense about the %... hmm For the auto-suggest - Oh, yes, somehow the contacts permission was off! However, it isn't going to help me much as is.... I am trying to use this for my personal life, not work, and if I have a task "set up an appointment with sleep medicine", well, they are in my contacts, but there is no email address, just a phone number (no email available on the web page either as they want you to send email via the web form). So it would be nice to also search on name fields (maybe as an option?). In general I think a lot of the contacts I'd like to add on task - not to forward to, but just to quickly link so I can go from task to contact - are not going to have emails in my address book... Was about to say something about removing a due date altogether from a task that had one set, but just found it in the kebob menu Overall JTX Board is working very well for me though, thank you! |

Hey @kellyclowers , I thought about the slider again, I think I'll do something about it, as you said, it could be individually set by users in the settings, I'd just have to make sure that users know that values might get rounded (down), but then everybody can have their own steps. I wanted to improve this for a long time, but with the current XML-layouts this is just so cumbersome. So I will check this again when the jetpack compose refactoring is done, then it will be much easier. I still created an issue for this: |

Hello @kellyclowers , it took a while as the refactoring of jtx Board in jetpack compose was more effort than expected. But I have considered and solved the three issues there. It will be a new version jtx Board 2.0. I expect the beta to be ready in 2-4 weeks :-) |

I hope this an ok place for some misc thoughts and or feature requests
Just started using JTX Board, seems quite nice and I like that it is using VTODO etc. So many that don't just use their own custom format use todo.txt... which is a nice little semi-standard, but it is very limited (by design to be sure).
One UI thing I thought of - maybe make the percentage complete bar move by say, 5% increments? I don't think I could realistically assign more specificity than that, and it would let us have nice round numbers easily. And easier to deal with on a phone/touch interface. Maybe an option to move by 1% if some people really want that?
Are there any plans to have Contact and Attendee fields be auto-completable from contacts, either in the linked DAV account and/or from the native mobile address book (if those are different...)?
