Permission problems with OpenTasks sync on MIUI 12.5.13 (Android 11) #603
-
I have given DAVx5 all permissions as well as OpenTasks, added the app to autostart and followed every possible step I could find in the guidelines. Yet, the suggested permission settings as shown in the screenshot are not available on MIUI 12.5.13 as of now. It is impossible to activate the switches OpenTasks permissions or All of the below. I had also checked dontkillmyapp.com to no avail. The debug logs do not tell me a lot either, but that might be related to MIUI being a clusterf* and their logging isn't that great. Unfortunately I cannot deactivate MIUI Optimizations, as then all my Chinese apps stop working properly. Es is a Gfrett... |

Do you actually use OpenTasks / does it work with tasks.org, for instance? OpenTasks is not maintained anyway. |

Same problem and I'm looking for solution. I've tried jtx board and tasks.org, and davx5 cannot grant permission to these two apps. However, they works fine on my oneplus 6T. |

Turn off MIUI Optimization/System Optimization (on Mi HyperOS) in the Developer setting, Configure Task permission as needed, and then turn the Optimization back on. |

Turn off MIUI Optimization/System Optimization (on Mi HyperOS) in the Developer setting, Configure Task permission as needed, and then turn the Optimization back on.
The custom Setting implemented a different "App Info" activity and blocked access to this setting, but the underlying code has not been removed. Turning back to the native App Info page reveals it. From what I tested the setting would not reset after turning the Optimization back on.
Notice that you have no access from the system Setting app even after turning off the Optimization, use "Open permission" in DAVx5, or utilize other apps to open the hidden activities.
