Make WebDav available offline

Currently when either the WebDav Server is down or I lose connection with my phone, my WebDav mount will be wiped clean.

I would like for those files to be available offline, too.

Is this possible to do?

That would mean keeping a local copy of all your files, which in some cases may be a lot, or allowing to select which folders you want to keep synchronized. In any case, that would not be a mount, would be a synchronization service, which right now unfortunately is not on our scope, though we don't discard anything.

I suggest that you use another app for this purpose, sorry for the inconvenience.

I see, that is an important distinction. I am not certain that there is a foss app that fulfills this purpose, but I will do my research.
I can only hope that WebDav will be just as available offline, as Calendars and Contacts are right now.

What server are you using? Most of them have synchronization apps, for example, Nextcloud.

After a quick search, this seems to do what you want: https://github.com/phpbg/easysync

Though I haven't tested it, so I can't recommend. I personally use FolderSync, but it's not open source.

Unfortunately my storage provider does not offer an app. Easy Sync looks promising. I might also take a look at FolderSync as well. Thanks a bunch for your help!

@SnoutBug I didn't know if it meets your needs, but I use and can recommend syncthing. There is also syncthing-fork, which I recently switched to using. Just a fork of the original with some additional features.
