I have the same exact issue. Were you able to resolve it?

Not necessarily a solution, but change SortAlgo.cpp line 578 to use a non-volatile first argument:

    ssize_t x = i;
    return std::make_pair(x,j);

Janky, but make succeeds. Now to figure out an actual solution.

Still doesn't work in macOS 14.4.1:
