Make salutation field configurable

If somebody registers for a newsletter the field salutation is filled with “Mr.”, “Ms.” or “Diverse” (german Herr, Frau or Divers). But this is not a usable salutation. A usable salutation would be e.g. “Dear Ms. Lastname” (Sehr geehrte Frau Nachname). So please make the field salutaion configurable or switchable off.
