Distro: Gentoo
beet --version
beets version 9999 (from github last week)
Python version 3.12.5
plugins: badfiles, bpd, chroma, convert, duplicates, edit, embedart, export, extrafiles, fetchart, fish, fromfilename, ftintitle, fuzzy, hook, importadded, info, inline, lyrics, mbcollection, mbsubmit, mbsync, missing, play, random, replaygain, rewrite, scrub, smartplaylist, summarize, the, types, unimported, usertag, zero
mpc version: 0.35
I don't have mpd itself installed.
I've been attempting to get bpd talking with mpc. I have BPD up and running. Granted, I haven't used mpc for a long time, but I'm confused.
When i try to add a track to the playlist:
mpc add /home/hometheater/audio/sleep_token/2023-take_me_back_to_eden-nocat/01-06-ascensionism.wv
I get
warning: MPD 0.21 required error adding /home/hometheater/audio/sleep_token/2023-take_me_back_to_eden-nocat/01-06-ascensionism.wv: argument not found
mpc search artist Sleep
warning: MPD 0.21 required MPD error: wrong number of arguments for "tagtypes"
What am I missing here? Ultimately I'd like to use mpc with the
beets play
command to load tracks into bpd.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
