Plugin is slow when clicking on a date

In my vault with 378 notes it takes a couple of seconds before the periodic note is opened. But, when the periodic note is opened, all the notes in the sidebar are displayed as well.

If I disable the settings Display notes created on selected date and Display an indicator on each date that has a note it loads faster.

It seems that the indicator and notes are loaded before the periodic note is opened. These actions should happen asynchronous instead of synchronous.
