Gaia-DR2-distances

Use the notebook distance_posterior_and_estimators.ipynb to

  • compute and plot the prior and posterior over distance
  • compute and write out the distance estimators as used in the Gaia-DR2 distance catalogue published in https://arxiv.org/abs/1804.10121 (see this page for more information).

Code was built with R 3.3.1. Additional libraries required: PolynomF, MASS, mvtnorm, pracma
