@datopsbh Thanks for raising this on GitHub!

We are looking into this right now.

One of my team members will be releasing a workaround in the near term. (FYI @sdzh-atlassian )

In the meantime, can you share any knowledge you might have about how you and your organization use code-server?

Say for example, if one of your teammates uses code-server and authenticates into JIRA, does that mean that all of your team is now logged in under their name? Or is there user-level isolation?

We start a pilot with coder.
Some extensions do not support code-server.

Hi Folks!

Remote Development Environments can now Authenticate with Atlassian Extension!

If using JIRA Cloud -> Please use API Tokens
If using JIRA DC -> Either API Tokens or Username & Password will work.

Steps:

  1. Ensure you are on version 3.4.1 of the Atlassian Extension
  2. Go to the Atlassian Settings to authenticate. If there is an error message, please reload the environment. Our feature flag client has some caching.
  3. Follow the UI

Hi still have the same problem.
I tried on version 3.4.1 and 3.5.8 latest.. (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Atlassian.atlascode)
Authentication:

Authentication cannot be done while running remotely
To authenticate with a new site open this (or another workspace locally. Accounts added when running locally will be accessible during remote development.

The button: LOGIN JIRA CLOUD is disabled

@datopsbh Sorry this isn't working for you. Our feature flag client is somewhat flaky has some form of caching we don't fully understand yet.

By Feb 14, the dependency on the feature flag will be removed.

In the meantime, restarting your VSCode and re-opening the Atlassian Settings might resolve itself.

Thanks for the extension and the update!

On my side:

  • I use vscode.dev
  • I am connected with tunnel to a remote computer
  • I installed the extension version 3.4.1

By default, if I go to the Atlassian settings, in the "Jira" tab, I still see the "Authentication cannot be done while running remotely" message.

Image

But if I click one or two times on the "Please login to Jira" link from the Jira Issues toolbar on the left, the content of the "Authentication" section change, and I am able to login!

Image

Unfortunately, I also need to login to Bitbucket, and I didn't find a similar way to get the proper content in its "Authentication" section.

Thanks

As I said I used:
code-server: v4.95.3
code 1.95.3

The trick for multiple clicks on login doesn't enable the button.
