The bug occurs without having Optifine or Optifabric installed? (Optifine bugs won't be fixed)

  • Yes, I don't have Optifine install.

Mod version

2.3.2

Minecraft version

2.21.1

Mod loader

Fabric

Description of the issue

When using xray, not all blocks are shown, only those close to any kind of surface (the surface, walls of caves, tunnels that I dug).

Excepted behavior

Xray shows all the blocks no matter the distance from a surface, the gamemode or if the player is in a wall or not.

Obtained behavior

When activating xray only blocks near any kind of surface are shown. When I switch to spectator and I move into the wall, floor or roof, all of the blocks are shown. (After coming back out sometimes it goes away again and sometimes it doesn't)
If I start the xray in the wall, it works fine, if I start it outside (no matter the gamemode) it does not until I fly into the wall with spectator.
Here is a video:

How to reproduce

-step 1: load a world
-step 2: activate xray (the preset is fine)
-step 3: now look around
-step 4: switch to spectator and move into the ground

Do I want to contribute to fix it?

None

Something else?

While I do have other mods, I tried and verified that this behaviour is also present when only having the following installed:
Fabric loader 1.0.1
fabric API 0.104.0
X-ray 2.3.2
