When I try running a modified version of elster_rx_multi.py with a "Soapy SDRPlay Source", I get a 24 byte pcap file that only has this:

$ hexdump elster-001.pcap 
0000000 c3d4 a1b2 0002 0004 0000 0000 0000 0000
0000010 7fff 0000 0093 0000                    
0000018

That's the expected behaviour if you don't receive any packets.
