Unstable power curve tab? #38

Thank you for providing this really helpful shiny app! I am not sure if this is an issue to post here, but I find that the power curve function in the ANOVA_exact app often does not work. I had more luck late in the evening in the past but this afternoon, for example, nothing seemed to happen when I clicked "Find Desired Power". I gave up after a few minutes and left the tab open, to later return and find a message that I was disconnected from the system and could reload, with no results displayed. This was extra inconvenient because I had to enter the information again in the design tab after clicking "reload" to try again.. On one occasion, I did get a power curve, but when I had to adjust some input values, I could not re-calculate it. Any pointers what might be going wrong?

Hi, could you provide some screenshots, and/or could you give me the parameters you input for the model?

Also, please confirm it was arcaldwell49.shinyapps.io/anova-exact ?

Thank you for the quick response! Yes, https://arcaldwell49.shinyapps.io/anova-exact/
This is what it looks like when I got disconnected. In the latest disconnect, here shown, I see that there were results, which are greyed out.

This was the input: Two within-subject factors with two levels each:

I can set up the design and calculate power, but the power curve tab does not seem to work.
I need the maximum sample size to be quite large (up to 1000). However, I did not have more luck with the power curve tab when reducing the maximum sample size to 100.

hmm, I am running into some issues myself.... Honestly, this may be a problem related to my server having been slammed with traffic over the past month. I will investigate further.

Also, if you have Rstudio, you can always run the shinyapp locally on your device if you download the code from this repo.

Yes, this worked. I can run the app with: shiny::runGitHub('Superpower', 'arcaldwell49', subdir = "Shiny/anova-exact")
The power curve tab takes longer the larger the maximum sample size, could it be that I was disconnected from the website due to some kind of time-out? Maximum sample 500, for instance, took about 12 minutes.
