Re-deploying with 'awx-setup' tag brings the service down...

Counter-intuitively running the 'awx-setup' tag again can break AWX requiring a full teardown and re-provision. (which is automated and simple to do, but ideally AWX would persist a bit longer!)

This is because you are trying to Helm uninstall the operator, not the AWX it deploys. You need to delete the AWX object and then give AWX operator time to do its work of deleting all the related objects. Only uninstall AWX Operator if you actually need to and there's normally no reason to :)

There is no helm uninstalling occurring in the awx-setup role. That's not related to this but, you're thinking of manual debugging steps we took to try and remove Rancher I believe.
