I am trying to find the best possible way to be able to adjust a chart's value (bignumber) by percentage increase or decrease parameter provided by the user through an input ( filter box maybe )
Ideally the user will be presented with the default value if the filter is not selected ( or it can be set to 0) and then the select statement will be modified eg select store,(total + total*{{filter_parameter}}/100)
Is this possible with jinja or I am missing something out.
I have tried to create new table in another datase that holds values (0,1,2,3) and create a filter in the dashboard under the name sales_adjusted_percentage
Then I edit the other dataset that I want to generated the calculated column and specify the sql expression for the column as
total * {{ filter_values('sales_adjusted_percentage') }}
When I run the chart the value of the filter is not populated. Is there any limitation for not using jinja templating in the select part of the query?
Any other solutions that I am not currently aware are much welcome.
