Proposal - auto apply code formatting on commits

Using https://github.com/Cosium/git-code-format-maven-plugin

This way we will be sure that any contribution follows a commonly used format. It doesn't matter what that format is as long as it is consistent. No more need for explicit formatting.

Any thoughts on this?
