PS C:\Users\Administrator\anthropic-quickstarts\computer-use-demo> docker run --rm -it `

-e WIDTH=$env:WIDTH -e HEIGHT=$env:HEIGHT
-e ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=$env:ANTHROPIC_API_KEY `
-p 8502:8501 computer-use-demo
exec ./entrypoint.sh: no such file or directory

just stop whatever you are doing and let other better people do it instead.

you spent time and money to waste mine.

i had to use a better AI just to figure exactly the depths of your suckitude. its pathetic the song and dance you try just to emulation a fraction of their power. ya'll can't even google. basic is awesome compared to you.

anthropic and amazon are in the news as a "competitor" to openAI.

but in reality, they are a complete joke. years behind openai. anyone going off the news and not issues is misled.

It does. I'll see if I can do a PR for it.

libertyteeth added a commit to libertyteeth/anthropic-quickstarts-libertyteeth that referenced this issue Nov 26, 2024
- Add separate sections for Linux/macOS and Windows commands
- Replace /home/neo with %USERPROFILE% for Windows volume mounts
- Add Windows PowerShell commands for all scenarios
- Update environment variable syntax for Windows
- Maintain Linux/macOS commands for backward compatibility

Thank you for helping to improve the project. As I intuited, it was not a code issue, merely a readme needing updating. Hope this helps!

Metrics: my reflection machine spent $1.2918 to make this PR. I know very little about the GitHub process; it let me through every step. I appreciate feedback if I've made any missteps. Thank you!

They literally made this open source project with a ton of documentation. If you can't set it up its on you. This is so easy to set up I have it running my my actually linux outside of docker. This post should be removed.

yeah you are right, i had an outlier use case. I was one of the 2 billion people running windows, an obscure outdated DOS based system from the 80s. my bad, you're right.

Also, "they" didn't make nothing homie. its AI slop. and you thought it was they. you were wrong, update your opinion.

their AI is garbage. it made this garbage software. this software is representative of the quality of their main product and their inability to compete with even old openAI models.

my mistake is calling it software. software gets installed and runs, performing its functions, usually logic. this did not install, did not run. its an attempt at software.

If you think their AI made this that would be more impressive lol. Its called beta for a reason and this github has history. Each AI model has it benchmark stats; advantages and disadvantages. There is no debate other than use case. You should try to cheer up this kind of stuff is super cool. They are the only one who have made a real project like this work and work well. Running their own AI model as well makes this even better. I run it on linux and it can do anything because it has root. This is amazing and open source allowed me to do this.

Absolutely agreed. My friend sent me a link to this a few weeks ago. Last week, I incorporated. We will see what the rest of the history plays out to be. :)

Oh, and I disagree that it should be deleted. Sourpusses can help to improve the look and feel of a project; his valuable input and feedback helped to improve the readme for, as he just mentioned, two billion people.

He should be proud! He is helping. Have a great evening.

No worries hope it helps.
Off to understanding if there is a way to have a fully privileged machine to run this on, it would be awesome. At the moment the machine on the provided example is very limited.

One way would be to write a bridge.

I'm working on something similar.

Sure thing! I haven't finished it yet. Here's the general idea:

  1. Have computer-use-demo basically as a "black box."
  2. Have that box inside another box. Various choices now exist; I grew up on VMs.
  3. Then using vision one outside the outer box can talk to the one inside, and get commands.
  4. After getting the commands, vet them so we don't blow the system up.
  5. And, loop.

Another simpler way is, "give it a root SSH key"... :)

I already found a way to do it and posted how on my github! It works fully with no errors! I even wrote a whole guide clearly explaining each step to help troubleshoot and understand!

If you guys have any questions let me know but I've been using it for over a week with all my error fixes on my github repo. I tested it in ubuntu but I'm sure it can work similar for windows.

It has fully sudo and display control! So be very careful!
