Thanks Critter George! I found I had to manually alter the odbcinst.ini
file as above to get it installed, the method of adding from the Manager
didn't work. This with Mojave so maybe something is locked down!

[edit] - yes something was locked down - changing the permissions on
the OBDC.ini file allowed it to be writable and then it worked. Find the
file in finder, click on info and then change the permissions to read
and write.

This is the format of the OBDC.ini file:

[ODBC Data Sources]
yourname = Sqlite3 Driver

[yourname]
Driver = /usr/local/lib/libsqlite3odbc.dylib
Description = yourdescription
database = yourdatabaselocation

The suggested file is only a Symbolic Link, therefore it crashes. Point
to the target file of the symlink, then it will work.
