Hi there!

I raised this with Automattic/wp.com but after some investigation on their end they came back and said it was a theme issue. I have reproduced their message to me below the screenshots.

Center aligned buttons on a page, when sent via jetpack's newsletter / email function are left aligned in the email.

Here's what jetpack previews in the editor:

And here's what is received in gmail:

It doesn't matter if the button is inside a stack, group block, or by itself. All permutations result in the same behaviour.

Here's the message I received from automattic earlier today about the issue - including a snippet from my last email to them over the weekend:

I've tried all sorts of variations over the last few posts - having it inside a stack block, outside, centre aligned and every single time the link that's inside the button, when it's sent as email/newsletter is left aligned.

Thank you for the additional information. I was able to replicate the issue on a test site with the same theme, Bjiörk. Then, I switched the theme (on that test site) to Twenty Twenty-Five, and the link was correctly centered.

When you are ready to publish your next post that includes the problematic button, could you please briefly switch to Twenty Twenty-Five before you publish it? You can switch back to Björk immediately after publishing it so the impact should be minimal. This test will allow us to confirm if the issue is theme-related.

I've asked automattic for further details (if it's a CSS class or json element etc) and will update this issue with any further information I get.

Cheers, Jay.
