My notebook model has an issue (probably a firmware issue that they never cared solving) that my left subwoofer stops working (if I don't use the speakers for a period of time) and requires the entire machine to be rebooted in order for it to start working again.
BUT
If I start the machine and play a silent audio file, the sub never stops working and everyone's happy.
Now my workaround is to let it loop in the background and forget about it :)
