Not dead as you can see here are still commit etc. done but 1) very short on manpower and 2) as emule as reference has nothing new, there is nothing to implement. Sure we could do a release for every little bugfix just to make releases, but this wouldn't make a big difference. And yes, the forums are almost dead, from time to time someone post something and if he's really lucky someone comes by that can answer the question, but atm. chances are better for not relying on that. |

You can run aMule as a service with systemd or docker. The wiki and document of aMule may be outdated. |

Hello dear people,
I was previously an eMule user. But since I use a DIY NAS under Debian11 24/7, it was my intention to run a corresponding client there. That's why I came across aMule after some trial and error.
Unfortunately, with my rudimentary Linux skills, it was not possible for me to run amule as a service (amuled / amule-daemon). All instructions that I found here in the wiki, HowTo or forum have not led to success. Also a registration in the forum and my first contribution was unsuccessful to date, since my corresponding contribution is simply not activated by the administrator.
And even if I look at the last posts like this, the last posts are sometime from 4 years ago or something like that...
So, allow me to ask, did I bet on a dead horse with amule?
Greetz
Micha
