Adding human-like agents

Hello,

I am not that familiar with unity but am thinking of using the simulator for my work. My project requires an environment with multiple human-like agents which can interact with the environment. While I have been able to find how multiple agents are supported in the environment. I am not sure if there are some easy ways to change the agents given that I don't have a great expertise in Unity(which I am willing to learn if its possible to add new characters). Could somebody please tell me if there already exists support for human like agents(instead of robot ones). If not then I would be grateful if I could be shown how to add them to the environment. I would be happy to contribute to the code if it is possible to make such agents in the system.
