Facebook marketing connector: Need help on advanced access for permissions

Hey Airbyte Community,

We've been trying to use the Facebook Marketing connector for Airbyte to EL some data on Facebook marketing campaigns into a Postgres destination.

As the official documentation for the connector states:

You'll need to request an upgrade to Advanced Access for your app on the following permissions:

Ads Management Standard Access
ads_read
Ads_management

I'd be really grateful for anyone who's successfully requested this for tips on what to include in such a request to Facebook support.

We've been dealing with responses from Facebook such as:

Hi Team,

We were not able to approve your app because your submitted screencast didn’t showcase the functionality or usage of the requested permission as you mentioned in your use case details. Please refer to the permission decision for more details.

The Airbyte UI for setting up the connector indeed doesn't reveal how exactly a permission like ads_read is used. What did you submit here successfully as a screen recording?

Moreover, the ads_management permission can only be requested for advanced access if the request includes advanced pages_read_engagement permission. And advanced pages_read_engagement requires advanced pages_show_list.
