This roadmap outlines AgentScope Runtime's development priorities and timeline for the Engine and Sandbox modules. Features are organized by upcoming release versions.

🚀 v1.0.0 [Planned, target release: Late November or Early December]

This milestone marks a major upgrade to AgentScope Runtime — refactoring core modules (Memory and RAG) to become fully native to the Agent Framework for seamless usage, introducing an interactive chat-based frontend, and integrating the agentscope-bricks library for faster, modular agent creation.

Engine Module

• Refactor Memory & RAG Modules into Agent Framework – Unify memory and retrieval-augmented generation components for improved agent reasoning.
• Integrate agentscope-bricks Library – Standardized, modular agent building blocks for faster development. Ensure full compatibility with updated Engine and agentscope-bricks modules.
• Chat Frontend UI – Interactive chat-based UI for agent communication and testing.

Sandbox Module

• Compatibility with AgentBay & E2B Sandbox Scheduling – Unified scheduling interface to run agents seamlessly on AgentBay and E2B sandboxes.

⚡ v0.2.0 [Released]

In this release, we will significantly simplify the process of deploying agents, making it much easier for users to get agents running in production environments. We will also stay committed to ensuring consistency in agent behavior between development and deployment modes, so that what you test locally is exactly what you get in production.

This release focuses on improving native support for the entire range of Agentscope agent features while making sandbox interaction more intuitive and powerful. With multi-pool management, async execution, and a built-in web frontend, the sandbox becomes easier to control interactively and more scalable for automation.
