please explain (step by step) how to set the $PROP value in script for files-1tb/jails because I'm misunderstand something:

I've updated the docs & example cfg in the dev branch, so hopefully those are clearer now.

1. Optionally, choose a different property name for the backup target, e.g. with PROP=com.example:zfsbackup in your config file. The default is edu.tamu:backuptarget.
2. Set that property to fullpath, basename, or rootfs on the FS you want to backup, e.g. zfs set edu.tamu:backuptarget=fullpath files-1tb/jails. fullpath, basename, etc. are explained in the "property values" section of the README.
