This is a feature request for the Motorshield part.
It seems the +5V of the servo connectors is hard-wired to the board +5V from the Arduino pins. Is it possible to provide a software equivalent of cutting the power trace as indicated on the silkscreen/in the documentation ? E.g. add two copper pads in a solder jumper' configuration on the border of the board, where the power trace is located; one pad is connected internally to the board's +5V, the other is connected to the servo power + (terminal, and middle pins of both 3-pin connectors); the default interconnection is then achieved by connecting both pads with a short wire. Not familiar enough with Fritzing to know if a deletable wire, or some other solder jumper'-type toggle connection can be included in the part by default.
