Is it possible to have two options for the gameplay style for war1?
One being as close to the orignal gameplay as possible. e.g. max four units at a time, shift/ctrl click/drag to multi select
One being enhanced options, e.g. up to 9 units selected at a time, just drag over units to select

One goal of mine is to create an engine for my RTS games. The problem with having the option of the original gameplay as close to original as possible is that it doesn't get me closer to the engine I want to have. In fact, I'd need to spend time implementing the original behaviors and I probably won't get it right.

I thought about this feature a few months ago, but put it aside because I need to make the engine with more "modern" features and don't want to spend that much time replicating the the original behaviors of the game. The decision of doing the engine with the Warcraft 1 game is because it gives me the possibility of me focusing in the engine and not in the art (which I can reuse in this case), it is a simple enough game to start the RTS engine journey, and also because I want to play that game with "modern" features of RTS games.

So, I won't probably do this feature as I've no interest in it right now.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
