A2A + MCP with Authentication and Security Integration !

👋 Hi everyone! I'm excited to share a project I've been working on that bridges Agent-to-Agent (A2A) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) with Spring Security integration.

What's Special About This Project?

The unique aspect of this implementation is that it enables a single agent to operate in both A2A and MCP environments while maintaining consistent security controls. Here's what makes it interesting:

1. Dual Protocol Support: The same Java agent can:

   • Communicate with other agents via A2A protocol
   • Interact with AI models through MCP
   • Maintain consistent security across both protocols

2. Spring Security Integration:

   • Role-based access control (USER/ADMIN roles)
   • Annotation-based security using @PreAuthorize
   • Transparent security context maintenance

Example Implementation

Here's a simple car booking agent that demonstrates the functionality:

Next Steps

I'm considering adding:

• OAuth2/JWT support
• More granular permission controls
• Better client-side security handling
• Additional protocol bridges
