Failure when installing the driver!

1. Click "Install Certificate..." (from the certificate window).
2. Choose:
   • Local Machine → click Next
3. Select:
   • Place all certificates in the following store
4. Click Browse, then select:
   • Trusted Root Certification Authorities
5. Complete the wizard and accept the security warning prompt.
6. Reboot (optional, but recommended).

After completing these steps, Windows will trust drivers signed with that test certificate.

I also had the same problem and I followed the steps @Executeor provided but the installation still fails. I also tried building the driver from source and installing that but it also fails. I think the current problem is not with the certification because signtool can verify virtualaudiodriver.cat. I also tried installing the driver with devcon to get some error logs, here is the relevant part of setupapi.dev.log in case it helps:

If delete ".10.0...22000" after "NTamd64" in inf file, then i can install driver

But after this, i see window "completing the Hardware Installation wizard":
The hash of this file is missing from the specified directory file. The file may be corrupted or tampered with.

However, this helped me get rid of the error in the screenshot in first message.
