Describe the bug

Sometimes (but often enough) when I open up Obsidian on iOS I’d get the banner message This takes longer: Getting status. Sometimes more than once in quick succession. I wouldn’t mind getting this banner if I had notifications enabled but I actually have Disable notifications on. So, only errors should capture my attention. I would not expect the same for this non-error notice/banner.

-Device details-
iOS: 18.1
Obsidian: 1.7.5
obsidian-git: 2.28.2

Relevant errors (if available) from notifications or console (CTRL+SHIFT+I)

This takes longer: Getting status

Steps to reproduce

  • Set up git on iOS (this is easier to do by copying over a desktop configuration that works)
  • Enabled properties
    • Auto commit and sync (<= 5 min)
    • Auto pull (<= 30 min)
    • Pull on startup
    • Automatically refresh source control on file changes
    • Disable notifications
    • Show status bar
    • Show stage/unstage button in file menu
    • Show branch status bar
    • Show count of modified files in the status bar
  • Open Obsidian after some time (may take up to 30 minutes but is unpredictable)
