Enable FreeBSD support

(creating issue to match the PR).

Enable FreeBSD (and if possible OpenBSD/NetBSD) support for the 3 platforms, x86_64, Aarch64, ppc64le.
For x86_64 and Aarch64 also enable Fat Runtimes, if the platforms support it.
