I found that when cura engine starts two separate parts of the same piece or two different pieces it starts deviating a few microns until the deviaton is more than one milimeter and can be seen easily.
When something has to be printed on top of the previously repeating pattern the positioning resets and continues well. It is clearly not a problem with the steppers or the mechanical parts of the printer and can be reproduced in any traditional printer like the 8 bit Ultimakers.
The problem can be seen with any file that has two "long" walls.
This piece of thingiverse is particularly good to see the problem (the top piece)
As you can see in the pictures the two walls of the bridge should be vertical, 90º but one of the sides has an inclination that after a while is very noticeable.
The difference betweeen the starting position of the wall and the end position of the wall in that piece is more than 1mm all across the wall. Completely reproducible in several printers.
The printer doesn't loose track of the position and the flat part of the top (the bridge) is printed as it should without deviation.
