That doesn't appear to be the issue. Additionally, an AI-generated script wouldn't be helpful in this situation. I'm using Lidarr metadata rather than file metadata, so this issue isn't related to that. I'm not certain what's causing the problem, but it's most likely due to the album duration being null. To properly diagnose this, I would need full trace logs to track down the root cause. Could you please provide the log file? |

I couldn't verify the issue due to missing trace logs, but I've added null checks that will hopefully resolve it. |

After updating, the lyrics error still persists. I might be doing something wrong, because in the Plugins tab it shows: (Maybe it just doesn’t display the final digit correctly?) 
After clicking [Refresh & Scan], one of the artists still throws the same error when processing lyrics: |

Thank you for providing the logs. However, it would be much more helpful if they included any relevant details about the issue. Currently, there's no error log, nor any mention of the term "Lyric." |

I actually did include a couple of lines showing the error. Here's one example: 2025-08-03 13:12:51.6|Error|LyricsEnhancer|Error processing lyrics for track: /music/fontaines_d.c.(gothic_rock)/skinty_fia(2022)/fontaines_d.c._skinty_fia_01_in_ár_gcroíthe_go_deo.flac [v2.13.1.4682] System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. As you can see, it's a NullReferenceException explicitly caused by LyricsEnhancer while processing lyrics. This message is repeated for every track it attempts to process. |

I understand that, but Im in need of the trace logs that include the issue. That’s the best way to pinpoint exactly where it occurs in the flow, or whether there’s any additional information. A single line just isn’t sufficient. Having a defined process I can refer to would be incredibly helpful. And in some trace logs of your system where it shows up and what the processing did before. The higher the number the older the log file. |

I assumed it would be clear that the logs contain actual details related to the issue. The line you provided must originate from somewhere, but it doesn't appear to be part of these logs. You can check how others report issues for reference |

You're absolutely right — I apologize, the log I uploaded previously was incorrect for some reason. Sorry about that, and thank you for your patience. This time, I ran the test in two scenarios: In a folder where .lrc files already exist with the same names as the corresponding tracks. In another folder where no .lrc files are present. In both cases, the option to overwrite existing .lrc files is enabled. Lidarr has write access to these folders (in fact, they were created by Lidarr), and the .lrc files have the same permissions. At no point were the lyrics embedded into the tracks, nor were any modifications made to the folders. I'm uploading the corresponding logs for both cases now. I'm running a non-Docker installation of Lidarr on a Proxmox LXC container. |

Based on the logs, there's only one point I can identify where the issue might occur. It should be resolved in the next release. |

After updating to Release 1.8.1.3, lyrics are downloaded correctly, but once the process finishes, they are all deleted again. The embedding into the tracks is not happening. I’m not sure if I have something misconfigured. I’m attaching the log trace file showing this behavior. |

I have configured the LRC in (import extra files). I originally had it as .lrc, and after testing I changed it to lrc without the dot — it behaves the same either way. What’s peculiar is that when I hit refresh, it downloads all the .lrc files next to the tracks, but then, for no apparent reason, it deletes them again… I don’t know what the ARR-scripts are… |

It seems that Lidarr does not accept .lrc files as valid media when trying to put them into the database and therefore proceeds to delete them. The option Import Extra Files is enabled, but it appears to ignore .lrc files. I’m only inferring this behavior, since I’m not sure what exactly is causing this unwanted deletion. |

I believe the option [embed plain lyrics in audio files metadata] is what causes the synchronized .lrc files to be deleted. Once I disabled it, the .lrc files downloaded and stayed in place. I tested this multiple times, and it consistently works that way. |

I'm currently testing the Lyrics Enhancer plugin from Tubifarry, hoping it would automatically download or generate .lrc files with the same name as the audio file when rescanning an artist. However, instead of creating the .lrc files, I'm getting an error, and nothing is generated.
Here's an example of the error shown in the logs:
