How to Convert Old TNE Data

This page outlines how you may go from TNE builds before 0.1.2.0 and convert to it. Please remember to backup your old data, and keep in mind that your old configurations and data are incompatible.

Step 1

The first step is to type /tne extract while your server is running the old TNE version. This should generate an extracted.yml file.

Step 2

The next step is to stop your server and rename your TheNewEconomy folder to something else. The old configurations are not compatible.

Step 3

Next, you'll remove your old TNE jar and install the appropriate Paper/Bukkit jar for your server. After this, startup the server.

Step 4

Next, you'll configure your server. Then you'll add the extracted.yml file to your new TheNewEconomy folder.

Step 5

Next, you'll run /tne old using the new version of TNE. This will restore your old accounts and balances.
