Map in nether very dark

Describe the new feature.

Hello! i've tried cycling between day and night [ while in the nether and both look very dark while trying to carpet (black) the roof. It's very hard to see what progress I'm making.

Is there anyway to adjust the transparency or add a brightness slider ?

As I said in discord, the nether is very dark on the surface, which is why the map is dark. We respect the vanilla light levels when coloring the pixels.

I can however, add an option so that newly mapped chunks can be a bit brighter on the surface of the nether.

it would be helpful, we're also removing the torches, as you can see in the non worked areas so any adjustment to lighting of the map to make it functional for the need of a Map would be helpful.
