have lateral scrolling bar for displaying more columns

I just had this idea that it may be useful to add a lateral scrolling bar to tables that display a lot of content. For example, the Plant trial Scoring table is currently overflowing:

and also with future submissions I see there may be many more traits per trial. Sideways scrolling in addition to up and down scrolling would solve this. I am trying to illustrate this below:

Obviously, the scoring_unit_name would need to remain fixed.
