Clarification on “Provider Agnostic” Claim vs Wizard Startup Options #27

Hi all, first, thank you for building and maintaining OpenCode-PAI. I came across the project specifically because of its provider-agnostic positioning, and that is genuinely compelling.

After spinning it up, I noticed that the startup wizard primarily presents Zen, Claude, and Ollama as options. From a first-time user perspective, this gives the impression that provider support may be more limited than the “provider agnostic” claim suggests.

I suspect the underlying architecture supports additional providers such as Gemini and others, but that capability is not immediately obvious during initial setup.

A few questions and suggestions:

Is there a reason certain providers, such as Gemini, are not exposed in the wizard by default?

Is the expectation that additional providers be configured manually through configuration files?

Would it help to clarify in the documentation or UI that the wizard reflects preconfigured or commonly detected providers rather than the full system capability?

This is not meant as criticism. It is more a request for clarity. The provider-agnostic aspect is one of the strongest value propositions of the project, and making that flexibility more visible during onboarding could help adoption.

Thank you for the work you are doing on this project.
