Packaging for RPM

I want to package the latest git of Webcord for RPM, what do I need to do?

If you want to share with someone the binaries of your packaged application, or just install and/or use it without the source code and development packages, you can generate all distributable files that are valid for your platform using following command:

npm run make

to "compile" Webcord you must have all of the packages tools in my case it was dpkg and fakeroot, otherwise it will hang up on trying to compile a .deb package.

not sure if specified in the readme but rpm-build, dpkg(if you are on a non-debian based system) and fakeroot(possibly my distro did not have this package pre-installed)

When I do that in my fedora 36 machine it complains about not having dpkg installed on my machine, does it need the developing packages of dpkg? Wouldn't that make a .deb package?

It packages all targets (i.e. deb, AppImage, RPM). I believe you should be able to install dpkg for the development purposes. If you don't want to, Electron Forge supports a flag to replace a list of targets, execute this command to get more information about the entire Electron Forge syntax:

npm run make -- --help
