I would love an option to show all albums across artists.
Currently, when starting plattenalbum, the alphabetically first artist is selected (or Unknown Artist).
I think it would be elegant to have a selector All Artists placed at the very top of the artist list. This would result in all album covers being displayed on startup and give the user the ability to browse all album covers whenever desired.

I believe I am not the only one who enjoys to choose music by album cover.

I had this feature implemented a long time ago. But for relatively large collections this is completely impractical, so I removed it to avoid UI stalls or alternatively long time loading spinners or that kind.

Actually that's not completely correct. This is just the fallback. Plattenalbum starts with the artist of the currently playing/paused song selected.
