Crash on launch and opening settings

Environment:
Android 12 (LineageOS MicroG 19.1) on Moto G7 Power

After upgrading to 5.11.2, app hangs indefinitely on launch screen. Tried force quit but problem still occurred.
Uninstalled and reinstalled 5.11.2 multiple times (always using FDroid). I was able to open the app, but after going into Settings and making a change (setting the folder path for recordings to external SD) the app froze when leaving Settings. If I went to Settings and made no change, I could leave settings and the app worked fine.

Downgraded to 5.11.1, problem still occurred.

Downgraded to 5.11.0, no more crash, app is working as expected.

I remembered something that may be relevant to the cause of the hang/crash. Recently I reformatted my SD Card which causes the path prefix to change (prefix to SD card usually is XXXX-XXXX where X is an integer). I have Simple Voice Recorder set to save my recordings to a folder on my SD card, so maybe the app had a problem trying to resolve the path. However, reformatting the SD card did not appear to prevent my recordings from being saved.

I rarely open Simple Voice Recorder to record because I normally use the widget to start recordings. After the initial bug happened (hang on splash screen. This was before I uninstalled and reinstalled) I checked my recordings folder on my SD card to make sure the latest one was saved successfully and confirmed that it was.

After I uninstalled and reinstalled, I went into Settings to set the saved recordings folder to my SD card again. When I left the Settings menu the app started to hang again and presented the "app not responding. wait or close?" message.
